Where does funding come from?

Most of the funding for these projects comes from grants. Since the district was formed, it has returned 130% of the taxpayers' investment by maintaining awareness of funding opportunities and leveraging the District's funds to help secure grant funds.

Our Valley Comes First

To acquire, retain and conserve water resources within the Lower Arkansas River. To encourage the use of such water for the socio-economic benefit of the District citizens. To participate in water-related projects that will embody thoughtful conservation, responsible growth, and beneficial water usage within the Lower Arkansas Valley, including the acceptance of conservation easements, with or without water.

We Promise You the Best

We uphold our mission in everything we do from office matters to big projects. Our goal is always the same: to make Lower Ark an advocate for the farmers and businesses of the valley in order to keep the water where it needs to be, instill conservation practices, and to increase the quality of our water sources.
